LA ILA explores the boundaries between pop, jazz, and sound art, acting as a singer, composer, and violinist. She has performed live with artists such as Michael Bublé (2019) and the Feuerwerk der Turnkunst (2022/2023), and has collaborated with producers like Frank Bornemann, Tobias Siebert, and Peter Keller.In June 2024, Laila Nysten received the IB.SH JazzAward in cooperation with JazzBaltica.
